Lastly, he listens and discusses with his fellow commissioners as they discuss the best course of action and what is best for the community. His background as a licensed engineer and business person help him to understand the limitations that exist, and the solutions that are possible.
Some projects sail through smoothly. However, about one quarter or so need to back to the drawing board on some issues. Sometimes, they applications that do not meet the guidelines need to go back so that the applicants can work out some of the issues with their. Sometimes tempers get hot; these are peoples homes at stake, but we try to head off neighborhood feuds before they start, preserving harmony in the community.
